The most common question we get asked is "Do we rent in a specific area?"
We Rent Our Bounce Houses and Inflatable Water Slides Throughout the Hudson Valley – Columbia County, Orange County, Sullivan County, Rockland County, Putnam County and Dutchess County, NY.
All of our units are stamped with a safety rule bulletin. Everyone utilizing the Bounce House must follow all rules and warnings during use.
Bounce New York provides all the equipment needed to operate your Bouncer. Shown above Tarps, Blower, stakes, 100' 12/3 extension cord, hose (used for water units).
Here are some other frequently asked questions:
Q: Is it secure?
A: All our units are secured to the ground with strong heavy duty stakes to insure a safe environment for your children.
Q: How long is my rental for?
A: Standard rentals are for eight hours. Longer rentals are available by request.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes all orders require a $50 Credit Card deposit. Larger orders may require a 15% deposit. **Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE.** If you decide to cancel your order for any reason, you will be given a rain check that is good for that current Bouncer season. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation for any reason including safety during bad weather. If we cancel your event, we will refund any deposit we have received.
Q: Do you deliver the same day of the event?
A: Yes, we normally deliver the morning of your event though we do offer advance delivery. For example if your event was on a Saturday and you chose the advance delivery, my crew can deliver the unit to you Friday evening. Bounce New York works around your event and schedule. Obviously, special circumstances will require same day delivery. (i.e. Surprise Party!)
Q: How do I know that I am getting a clean bouncy house for my children to play/jump in?
A: Our bouncy houses are inspected and cleaned out upon pickup from a client to ensure that it is ready for use at the next rental location. Upon setup, and additonal inspection is also done by a trained professional to ensure the bouncy house is in working order and is clean and ready for use.
Q: Do I need to clean the rentals after my event?
A: No. Our crew will inspect and clean the units if needed before and after your event, though we do ask that you inspect the inside of the unit prior to dropping it for pick up. We ask that you remove any excessive debris or any items left inside prior to turning off the blower.
Q: What is allowed inside the Bouncer?
A: Two things; Fun and your children. THAT'S IT! for obvious reasons... nothing sharp, no shoes, no food, candy, toys etc. These units are very expensive and can be damaged by any unauthorized items while your kids are jumping.
Q: Do we have to keep the bouncy house connected to a power source at all times?
A: Yes. The blower is what keeps the air flowing through the bouncy house, keeping it inflated. Once you remove the power source, the blower will not work and the house will begin to deflate.
Q: What size generator should I use to power up my blower?
A: We recommend using a minimum of 2000W for most of our blowers.
Q: How much electricy does my blower use?
A: The 1hp blower running pulls 7amps at 800watts. When the blower is first turned on and the unit is inflating it will use 17amps with 2000watts. The 1.5hp blower running uses 8.8 amps at 1000watts. The start up for that unit is 12.5amps and 1500watts. Both the 1 and 1.5hp blowers run on 115 current. The biggest blower is 2hp, with this the running wattage is 3000 at 230volts. The start up takes 15amps and 3500watts
Q: Can I use these blowers in the rain?
A: Absolutely not! It is not recommended to use in any enviroment where there is water present.
Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: Cash or check, checks make payable to Bounce New York. At this time we are not set up to accept credit card payments. Please be sure to have the exact amount that is due on your rental agreement because drivers do not carry funds for change. Bouncers will not be fully assembled until payment is made to drivers.
Q: Can I change my order once I've placed it without being penalized?
A: Of course, we will confirm you order 1 week prior to the event normally by phone.
Q: What if we need to cancel?
A: We understand that things happen and plans change. Cancelations sometimes are a must. We ask that you notify us as soon as you know that you are considering canceling so that we can make our products avaliable to other potential renters.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: No we do not require deposits.
Q: How big are the jumps?
A: All of our jumps are different sizes please check the size requirements for each unit. Please note the space required for each jump (listed under each picture in the “Rent Me” section) as some are VERY big and require extra space. When in doubt, measure your space to make sure it will fit. Jumps need room to be staked and they need room for the blower and can’t rub against walls or trees as this may damage the jump. The sizes listed with each jump include the space needed for stakes etc. If you have stairs or a tiered backyard, please call our office to discuss options for setup. (845-234-3121)
Q: What about the big jumps? Any special requirements?
A: Check the requirements listed with each jump. Also, make sure you have at least a 4´ access to the area where it will be set up. The jumps can weigh up to 650 pounds so we need a clear path with ample room.
Q: What surfaces do you set up on?
A: We can set up on Grass (our favorite and best for the kids), dirt, asphalt, and concrete. Sorry, we can’t set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl jumps. o prevent friction, moisture and mud we use tarps underneath all our units.
Q: When should I cut my lawn before my party?
A: It is best if you do not cut your lawn on the date we deliver the Bouncer. The cut grass clippings, the green sap that is left on the surface of your lawn can possibly stain our equipment as we have to lay some portion of it on the ground during installation. We do tarp but it is impossible to control freshly cut grass from getting all over our equipment. It is always best to have your lawn a little long during an event, allowing it to recover quicker from the constant traffic at the exit and entrances of the Bounce House. Cutting your lawn after the Bouncer is delivered and set up is prohibited for obvious reasons.
Q: Are we responsible for the unit if it gets a tear or damaged in any way?
A: Yes and no. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear on our units. Seams may develop tears in high traffic areas over a period of time. If this happens please alert us at once so we can remedy the situation. If however, damage occurs due to failure to follow our safety rules or negligence (i.e. not turning off the blower in high winds) you will be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower etc that can cost thousands of dollars. We don’t want you or us to be in that situation.
